To fill an empty void in their lives.

Because it is easier than dealing with the many horrifing truths within this reality which we have created for ourselves as a species.

Because life pulls you down and not everyone has someone to pull them up so they find something else to pull them up.

Don't want to deal with reality, to see how far you can go, how much you can use. ex: Entertainment Addiction.

Because drugs are a partial escape to the reality that most drugers hate so much and afterwards they never really want to go back to sobriety.
